Inclusion and collaboration are integral to our way of working at MUFG and it is important to us that our employees recognise that all opinions are valued and listened to. We are committed to making the most of all the different perspectives, backgrounds and experiences we have within the firm and this is why having a diverse workforce is important to us – we know that our collective power lies in our diversity and is a strong foundation for our success as a global organisation.
Ensuring that we recruit from a diverse talent pool and retain this talent helps us challenge ourselves to grow, innovate and better serve our customers. Having this diversity within our workforce also makes MUFG a stimulating and interesting place to work, with many opportunities to work with individuals from different backgrounds, cultures and with a wealth of different experiences to your own.
As part of our commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where individuality is recognised, valued and celebrated, we constantly push ourselves to nurture our open and supportive workplace culture. For example:
We operate fair and unbiased assessment processes to ensure that we hire the most talented candidates from a broad range of experiences and backgrounds.
We take a thoughtful approach to office hours and respect personal commitments outside of work.
We’re committed to your development, which means that everyone, regardless of their background, gets to perform to the best of their ability and are rewarded when they do so.
We feel strongly about working with the community and invest our time and money to address their needs, as well as the needs of local charities, through our CSR Programme.
We also have a well-established Inclusion & Diversity programme, which offers many networking opportunities, events and forums to share experiences. Always growing and evolving, our employee networks currently focus on:
